Description

NGC 2403 (also known as Caldwell 7) is an intermediate spiral Hubble type SBcd galaxy in Camelopardalis. Located 8-10 million light-years away, it spans approximately 70000 lys across and is one of the brightest galaxies of the Northern sky (8.2 mag). Taken with the EHD11 at 2800mm focal length, it fits perfectly onto the sensor of the ASI 2600. I used 2 good nights earlier in January, plus another (mediocre) night for Ha. Addition of Ha is essential in my eyes to enhance the star forming regions.

6h RGB
6h L
almost 3 h Ha

The linear RGB image was combined with the linear Ha image using the NBRGBCombination script, then a color calibration was performed. The final stretched HaRGB image was then combined with the stretched L image. Minor adjustments in Lightroom and slight sharpening in PS. I am not sure whether this is the best approach to add Ha to RGB, if you feel you have a better solution please let me know.

Hope you like the outcome.
